Your safety is our priority. Please read these guidelines before connecting with other members.

Protect Your Personal Information

Never share your home address, workplace, or financial details with someone you have just met online.
Be cautious about sharing your phone number or social media profiles until you have built trust.
Use a strong, unique password for your Two Hearts account and never share it with anyone.

Recognise Red Flags

Be wary of anyone who quickly professes strong feelings, asks for money, or claims to be in urgent need.
Romance scammers often create compelling but false backstories. If something feels off, trust your instincts.
Be suspicious if someone avoids video calls or in-person meetings after extended contact.
Never send money, gift cards, or financial information to someone you have not met in person.

Meeting In Person

Meet for the first time in a busy, public place during daylight hours.
Tell a friend or family member where you are going and who you are meeting.
Arrange your own transport — do not rely on your date for a lift home.
Keep your phone charged and have an exit plan.

Report Suspicious Behaviour

If a member makes you feel uncomfortable, harasses you, or sends inappropriate content, please report them immediately using the in-app report feature or by emailing us at safety@twohearts.tranmer.ca. We take all reports seriously.

Online Wellbeing

Take breaks — online dating can be emotionally taxing. Look after yourself.
Block any member who makes you feel unsafe. You can always unblock later.
If you are in immediate danger, contact your local emergency services (911 in Canada and the USA).
